Gardener’s Starter Soil
Topsoil
We harvest and use local area topsoil, which we screen through our machine. We use this material in our basic garden blend.
Compost
Our compost is used in conjunction with our screened topsoil. Our compost generally includes vegetable & fruit scraps, weeds, coffee grounds, eggshells, meat, dairy, & grass clippings.
Peat Moss
Peat moss is a dead fibrous material that forms when mosses and other living materials decompose in a peat bog. This fibrous material provides gardeners with several benefits, including absorbency, compaction prevention, a sterile planting medium, and its acidic ph.
Vermiculite
Is an excellent choice to enhance the soil and neutralize the pH in various areas of your garden. It can be used in raised beds, in-ground, and container gardening and will help with aeration and drainage.
